Membership Guidelines and Policies

• Memberships are non-refundable
• Memberships are not transferable and are for a single household.
• Member children are ages 3-17 (toddlers ages 0-2 are admitted for free). One named member adult must be present in order for children to receive free admission.
• Valid photo ID of one (1) named adult member is required at each visit
• Admission privileges do not include visitors for school groups or birthday parties
• Add a named caregiver for $25 (valid for Family and Family Plus Memberships) **Only 2 caregivers permitted per membership
• Additional children may be added for $25 per child (valid for Family and Family Plus Memberships) **Only 2 additional children permitted per membership

Members Nights

• Da Vinci Science Center holds various Members Night events each year; events may include exhibit previews, science shows, special hands-on activities designed by the Science Center’s team of professional science educators, and more.

Membership Cards

• If you purchase your membership at the Science Center, we will print your membership cards for you while you explore the exhibits.
• For online membership purchases, physical membership cards can be printed for you upon request at the Welcome Center during your next visit to Da Vinci Science Center. Please note that membership cards will only be printed for members who selected ‘yes’ to requesting physical membership cards during the checkout process.

Frequently Asked Questions

• What is the infrastructure/service fee?
  All memberships incur an 8.5% infrastructure fee, which plays a vital role in covering the costs associated with the construction, outfitting, and improvement of our new facility.
• Why did membership prices increase?
  We built an amazing new science center, with 3 times the exhibit space,  brand new exhibits, all best experienced as a member. Your membership helps us deliver this exciting new venue and bring science to life and lives to science.
• Can I upgrade from my current membership level to a new level?
  Yes! Just pay the difference between your current membership cost and the level you would like to upgrade to. Expiration date will be one year from the purchase date of your original membership.
• I already purchased a membership with an expiration date of Feb. 29, 2024. Will my expiration date be extended to the new facility when it opens?
  No. Old membership levels do not include access to the new Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion. Pricing for old levels was discounted significantly to account for the shortened membership period. 
• Can an adult who is not on my membership bring my kids when I’m not there?
  No. At least one adult whose name is on the membership must be present in order for any children to receive free admission.
• Will I be able to access both the Cedar Crest location and the Downtown Allentown location at the same time?
  No. Da Vinci Science Center located on the campus of Cedar Crest College is now closed. The new facility in downtown Allentown is scheduled to open May 22, 2024. The two locations will not be open at the same time. Memberships that are still active in May will transfer over to the new facility.
